This exhibition was held on 23 May 2017, 5 months after starting the project and includes children’s book reading activities in Pouyesh Society, Iran School and Mofatteh School which all participated in the RWM program. Aside from the exhibition, IRHCLI presented quality books in order to encourage children to read books in the summer.
By establishing a CONEX-Library in the intersection of MahmoudAbad, IslamAbad (AshrafAbad) and GhaniAbad villages, IRHCLI and Pouyesh Society have tried to provide children, families and schools with quality books. This project is based on lending quality books, performing Reading Aloud sessions and book related activities for children.
Adept RWM librarians hold book reading sessions in this CONEX-Library for at least 3 days a week. A great number of students and children from all nearby villages are now members of this library. This library is also a base for volunteers to receive their specially designed backpacks. Then, they are dispatched to the schools in the area to hold Reading Aloud sessions and perform book-related activities for students.
Two schools have currently been covered by this RWM project.
This library has been equipped by IRHCLI and the supports of Ms. Sorayya GhezelAyagh in the memory of her husband, Mohammad Behrouzi.
