The Association for Supporting Labor Children is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organization which has been active since 2002. This Association supports more than 1400 children in the four disadvantaged areas of Tehran as well as the city of Bam, Kerman. Most of these children are immigrant and labor children who receive the supportive and education services free of charge.

“Read with Me” program was undertaken in the educational year 2020-2021 with the cooperation between this Association and The Institute for the Research on the History of Children’s Literature and with the sponsorship of Azarestan Sazvarsazeh Company. From the four areas of Tehran (Mowlavi, Bazar, All Children and Khavaran) and one center in Bam, 350 children in pre-school to second grade years as well as in the literacy levels of one and two participated in this program.
