In this ceremony which was held by the efforts of volunteer tutors and authorities of Child Foundation and the project responsible of RWM, about thirty children from first to sixth grade of elementary school were present with their mothers.

Then the book “Sparrow who had Wings and Tail” was read aloud and children and tutors played the story by making the masks of characters. The tutors tried to transfer enthusiasm and excitement to children and their mothers by motion games.
At the end the importance of book reading was discussed with mothers. In this session mothers learned about the importance of reading in family and how children model their parents and how mothers and fathers can make their children interested in books.
The ceremony was ended by cutting a cake. After serving the guests the library was opened and children and mothers were invited to visit the library. Mrs Khandan, the library responsible of Child Foundation, explained about the library and monthly Book Reading sessions at the place.
Establishing this library and holding monthly Book Reading Sessions for 7-12 year old children was a part of the agreement between the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature and Child Foundation for implementing the Read with Me project in this center. According to this agreement the IRHCL established a library of quality books for the children covered by this foundation in Rahahan district and the tutors have attended first RWM workshops and now are ready to read books with children.
