Khansar Child and Young Adult Library (Sadr-ol-Vaezin)
Khansar Child and Young Adult Library (Sadr-ol-Vaezin), one of the “Read with Me” child-centered libraries, started its work in June 2018.This library is in full compliance with the environmental and standards of a Read with Me child-centered library and is presented as a model for Read with Me libraries.
Sadr-ol-Vaezin library is constructed and equipped with financial support of Azarestan Group and initiated its activities with the aim of promoting reading and providing cultural services to children and adolescents in Khansar, Isfahan. At the opening ceremony of the library, held on 17 July 2018, a group of officials from Khansar city, local people and Read with Me experts were present.
Azarestan Group under the cultural management of Parvin Amini, in collaboration with the “Read with Me” program’s child-centered libraries, started to design Sadr-ol-Vaezin library of Khansar since summer 2017. The library is equipped with more than 3,000 volumes of quality books for 0 to 16 year old age-groups. There are also books available for adults on children and child growing contents.
The library is established in memorial of Mohammad Mehdi Amini (1889-1952) renowned as Sadr-ol-Vaezin as a literate and humanist cleric of the region.
Khansar Child and Young Adult Library has various sections, built and designed based on the “Read with Me” program’s approaches, such as reading aloud, reading with babies and toddlers and doing follow-up activities after reading.
