On hot and long summer days of Sistan and Balouchestan, southeast Iran, when schools are closed and no hobby or pleasure is available for children in small villages, Read with Me village libraries are places where children can spend time, read together and borrow books. Young adult librarians run these libraries, most of them are girls deprived of education after finishing primary school. They come to the library, read books for other children and that is how they have a chance to keep their connection with books and literacy.
