Read With Me in the spring meeting of Yavary Cultural Community

On Thursday, 12 March 2015 6^th meeting of Yavari Cultural Community were held with the school builders and other children lovers in Iran. The purpose of this meeting was to gather contributions to prepare New Year clothes for deprived students. A report of recent activities done by Yavari Cultural Community was given. In this program, Maryam Akhgary, Read With Me responsible in South Khorasan presented a report on “Read With Me” project which is held by The Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature (IRHCL) in association with this community. The Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature (IRHCL) started “Read With Me” since September 2013 in Nehbandan and Ghaennat in the association of Yavari Cultural Community and the financial support of International Board on Books for Young People. The next year Darmian, Khusf and Birjand joined this project. 3170 children benefiting this project, holding 46 workshops for 119 tutors and teachers, delivering 15000 books to children and changing 21 rural nurseries into libraries in villages during the summer are the achievements of this program in this province.
