Read with Me complementary workshops were held in Kuhdasht
In mid-April, Read with Me experts traveled to Kuhdasht, Lorestan to hold the complementary workshops of the academic year of 2015/16. “Living Values” workshop (concentrating on the subject of Peace), complementary “Story Elements” workshop (making posters for story elements) and a workshop on the methods of working with the Encyclopedia for children and adolescents were held for teachers and tutors from four schools covered by RWM project in this region.
At the end of the workshops a Childhood Wall Calendar was presented to trainees by the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature and a set of Encyclopedia for Children and Adolescents were donated by Mr. Kamran Salehi, a benefactor, to Somayeh Elementary school.
Also RWM experts had a meeting in KhorramAbad with Mr. Bazgiran, Head of Education Office for Nomad schools in Lorestan, and 10 boarding schools principles in this province.
In this session in addition of schools needs assessment, the Read with Me project was introduced and its implementation in rural schools of Lorestan was discussed. Mr. Bazgiran expressed his interest in the project and announced his readiness for its implementation.
RWM experts also had a meeting with Mr. Barkhordar, Head of Education Office in Kuhdasht and reported briefly the project’s process and its achievements in this region during two years of its implementation. In this session RWM project’s implementation in other schools and preschools was proposed and Mr. Barkhordar approved the project’s development in the region.
