Read with Me child-centered library in Etrat School
In another action, the “Read with Me” program designed a child-centered library in Etrat School in Zabul city, for students from pre-school to sixth grade.
Now, after two years of implementing the “Read with Me” program in Zabul City and covering 1500 children and 50 teachers, in another action, the “Read with Me” program designed a child-centered library in Etrat School with the financial support of Omran Azarestan Construction Co. Where, children in the neighborhood can also benefit from this library.
The “Read with Me” library group has considered creating a library of children with a high level of literacy and a high interest level for children.
The library is equipped with over 400 volumes of books and 66 titles of book-related activities and booklets. In the booklets, in addition to the book’s summary, there are suggestions for doing activities before, during and after reading. In the meantime, teachers in Zabul also received 520 volumes of books with book-related activities and booklets in 20 book bags to share with their students during the school year. In three or four months, teachers returned these bags to the library and received other books. In this way, the students covered by “Read with Me” benefited from quality books in the libraries of Zabul Schools.
In February, along with the second round of the “Read with Me” workshops, the workshops on “Children’s Literature and Reading Methods” were held for 30 teachers from the second, third, and fourth grades of schools so that they could share quality books with students.
