In the academic year of 2017-2018, 30 schools in the Saravan area joined the “Read with Me” program with the support of Arian Roshd Afza Co. and the collaboration of the Education Office.

In October 2017, four trainers and experts from the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature traveled to Saravan, Sistan & Balouchestan Province to carry out the first round of “Read with Me” workshops.

۳۰ schools in the Saravan area joined the “Read with Me” program. 14 schools had two shifts (overall, 46 schools were covered by the program including the two-shift schools). The first round of workshops included “Learning Phonological and Phonemic Awareness Skills”, “Learning Numeracy”, “Learning Farsi through Literature”, “The Dictionary of Riddles” and “Dramatic Arts: Finger Puppets, Hand Puppets, Moving Mouth Puppets and Masks” workshops. At the end of the first round of workshops, book packages were sent to schools.

Now with these workshops and books, teachers and trainers in pre and primary school classes implement the basic literacy creative education programs. They also regularly benefit from the supervision and guidance of “Read with Me” experts.
