Read with Me in Isfahan Province
In summer 2012, Children & Young Adults Literature Admirers Association in Isfahan, decided to implement the Read with Me program in 5 neighborhoods in Isfahan. So they sought consultation from the experts of the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature. The program was finally implemented in kindergarten, preschool and elementary school children. Each age-group participated in Reading Aloud sessions once a week. Association experts held workshops for volunteer tutors in order to empower the progress of the program in these neighborhoods. In 2015, the Reading with Babies and Toddlers program was also implemented for two groups of mothers in Hasseh.
Since 2017, the association has been working on the basic literacy of out of school Afghan children in MalekShahr. Moreover, since summer 2017, Khansar Child-centered Library has been established with the highest standards regarding design and content.
