Activities on World Peace Day

On September 21st, World Peace Day, Read with Me promoters had different plans prepared. In Rafsanjan, Kerman province, two promoters asked children to retrieve envelopes containing messages about peace from the determined locations. Through this, they invited children to a Reading Aloud session. After reading aloud “How to Heal a Broken Wing”, children wished the world love and peace through making paper doves.

In Mehr-o-Mah Empowerment Center, children celebrated this occasion through different activities. Tutors chose the book “The King, the Mice, and the Cheese” to read aloud. After talking about the concept of peace through this book, children made paper doves. In the end, they painted their hands with different colors and made hand prints to depict peace, friendship and equality.
