Reading Promotion from Home – an experience in Sarpol-e Zahab

Read with Me Libraries have been closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and consequently members lost access to books. However, Read with Me promoters did not sit idly. Given the restrictions, they still tried to continue their activities for children, while considering health precautions.

In Sarpol-e Zahab ,a librarian and promoter started read-aloud and follow-up activity sessions for her children and a number of children from the neighborhood (8 in total). She has also made online connections with the Sarpol-e Zahab branch of the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults as well as a school teacher from Qasr-e-Shirin. She shares her experiences online with children and students from these two centers.
